Special topic - Exploring ethical principles through sand tray play therapy (3 CE Hrs.)
Prerequisite Sand Tray Play Therapy Level 1 at Center for Sand Tray Play, or comparable training/experience.
The values, ethical principles, and best practices of play therapy govern and ground the work of therapists who use play therapy and sand tray therapy in their professional practice. This training will review these essential aspects of play therapy and allow for experiential learning and integration through sand tray play. This workshop satisfies the 3 hour requirement for renewal of professional licensure.
Goals 1. To explore best practice in play therapy
2. To enhance the ethical practice of play therapy
Objectives Workshop participants will
1. learn the values, ethical principles, and best practices of play therapy
2. use sand tray play as a means to explore and integrate their knowledge of the values, ethical principles, and best practices of play therapy
3. identify areas of strength and steps for continuing growth in their own ethical practice of play therapy
