Prerequisite Sand Tray Play Therapy Levels 1-4 at Center for Sand Tray Play, or approved comparable training.
This advanced workshop focuses specifically on the use of sand tray play therapy with adults. Sand tray play therapy is particularly effective in helping adults explore their inner worlds and access the benefits of metaphor and therapeutic play that lead to integration and healing. This training will explore how the sand tray process can contribute to healing in the adult journey.
Goals 1. To engage the therapeutic powers of play in ways that are appropriate for adults
2. To strengthen and broaden therapists' use of the sand tray play therapy with adults
Objectives Workshop participants will
1. explore the dynamics of division and healing that impact adults, and the therapeutic power of play as intervention for adults
2. learn ways to engage adults in using sand tray as a therapeutic tool
3. explore ways to integrate sand tray play therapy with other healing practices for adults
